What Blancco is

The tool that issues the evidence.

Blancco is data-erasure software. It sanitises drives and devices, verifies the result, and issues a report stating what was erased, by which method, and whether it succeeded. That report is the artefact an auditor or a corporate client asks to see.

The certificate is issued by Blancco

Not by REAV, and not by the ERP. The evidence keeps its independence, which is the point of it.

Erasure standards are Blancco’s scope

Which methods are applied, and what they claim to meet, is determined by Blancco, not by the system that stores the output.

A report nobody can find is not evidence

This is the gap the integration closes. The weak point in most operations is not the erasure, it is what happens to the report afterwards.

    REAV installs it and trains your teams

    The integration is part of a deployment, not a download. REAV installs Blancco, trains the people who will run it, and connects it to the ERP.

    Test and erasure data fill in automatically

    Results land on the device record without being retyped. Retyping is where transcription errors enter a traceability chain.

    The certificate is filed against the serial number

    Each certificate sits on the device it belongs to, and comes back out in one click when a client or an auditor asks for it.

    Drives that fail sanitisation are routed and documented

    A failed erasure is not a dead end. The drive follows the physical-destruction path, and that outcome is recorded as such.

What this is not

The boundaries, stated plainly.

  • REAV does not publish Blancco and does not issue erasure certificates. Blancco does.
  • The integration does not make a claim about which erasure standards apply to your equipment. That question is answered by Blancco and by your own contractual requirements.
  • Blancco is licensed from Blancco. It is not included in the ERP.
  • Other test and audit tools can feed the same device record. Blancco is the one REAV installs and connects as part of a deployment.
