The gap

Most ITAD operations are strong at intake, sanitisation and reporting, and thin at repair. The result is predictable: devices that could be resold whole leave as components or tonnage.

Recovery stops at the working units

Devices that fail functional test go to parts or recycling, returning material value instead of resale value - a difference measured in multiples, not percentages.

Repair is outsourced or improvised

Sending units out adds transport, delay and a second chain of custody. Repairing them informally, without written procedures, makes output depend on which technician was on shift.

Grades drift between operators

Without documented criteria, the same device gets graded differently by two technicians. Over-grading generates returns; under-grading gives away margin.

Regulation keeps raising the proof standard

ESPR and the Digital Product Passport push per-device history from an internal record to a regulatory deliverable. Lot-level tracking will not answer it.

No. REAV builds repair capability inside your existing flow rather than replacing it. The Audit phase starts by mapping what you already run - intake, sanitisation, reporting, logistics - and identifies where a repair line attaches.
REAV holds no certification in its own name, and we will not claim otherwise. What we do is bring your workshop up to the standard your clients and auditors require (R2v3, WEEELABEX, ADISA, ISO) by putting the written procedures, records and controls in place that a certification audit asks for. The certificate is yours, not ours.
The REAV ERP integrates natively with Blancco: REAV installs it, trains your teams on it, and connects it so test and erasure data fill in automatically. The certificate is issued by Blancco and filed against the device serial number instead of sitting in a separate archive. Drives that fail sanitisation follow the physical-destruction path and are documented as such.
Deployments target a return of roughly 1.5× over the first year, and 2.5× to 4× over the medium to long term. Capital requirement varies too much with scope for a published figure to be meaningful, which is why the Audit phase dimensions both against your actual volumes before you commit to anything.
It should be. Nothing is committed without a projected return and a step-by-step path to it, and the whole engagement is de-risked by the Audit phase: it is scoped and quoted on its own, and you finish it with a business case, not a commitment made in advance.
That is what the Audit is for. It is a framing exercise, not a sales step - an on-site or remote diagnostic, a gap analysis, an action plan and the dimensioning of the deployment. It exists so you can decide on a solid basis instead of deciding first and finding out afterwards.
For a standard workshop processing approximately 12,000 devices per year, a full turnkey deployment - from scoping to operational workshop - takes around 3 months. Larger or multi-site projects are re-timed during scoping.
Yes, under the License and Consulting models. REAV acts as a semi-external production and R&D engineering team; you own and operate the workshop. A Joint Venture is the one model where the entity is shared.
